Cross Sections / Halogen oxides / Cl oxides / ClO / ClyneCoxon(1968)_294K_257.7,277.2nm

DATAFILE: ClO_ClyneCoxon(1968)_294K_257.7,277.2nm.txt
NAME: chlorine monoxide
FORMULA: ClO
AUTHOR(YEAR): ClyneCoxon(1968)
T: 294K
λ: 257.7,277.2nm
BIBLIOGRAPHY: M.A.A. Clyne and J.A. Coxon, "Kinetic studies of oxy-halogen radical systems", Proc. Roy. Soc. London A 303, 207-231 (1968); DOI: 10.1098/rspa.1968.0048
COMMENTS: The reaction of atomic chlorine chlorine dioxide have been investigated in a flow system

The apparent extinction coefficient of ClO at the predissociated (12,0) band head near 277.2 nm has been measured at room temperature by titration with nitric oxide and oxygen atoms

Extinction coefficients at 277.2 nm and in the continuum at 257.7 nm (misprint 255.7 nm in the paper) have been converted to absorption cross sections (conversion factor 3.8235×10-21)
